North Era Hike and Camp Adventure in the Royal National Park

This trip has been put together for lovers of adventure who want the freedom of a self guided adventure and also the convenience of having all the gear for the trip and shuttle bus transfers provided. It’s the perfect opportunity to set out on an fun overnight nature adventure in the spellbinding Royal National Park on a whim! Just meet at Bonnie Vale in Bundeena to collect and pack your gear before transfer to the walking track. Walk a section of the popular Coast Track from Garrawarra Farm to North Era (takes approx 1.5 hours) and set up camp and enjoy a night in the wild. Following morning pack up camp and continue your walk north to Wattamolla (approx 4 hours) or to Garie (1 hour) where we will meet you for return shuttle to Bundeena. Cost includes hire of all your hiking, camping, sleeping (excl sleeping bag) and cooking gear, camping permit and shuttle bus transfers. Note that food is not included

  • Arrive in Bundeena to collect your gear and be ready for shuttle at scheduled time
  • Transfer to walking track
  • Enjoy the stunning coastal scenery on a 1.5 hour walk from Garrawarra Farm to North Era
  • Make camp at North Era beach front camp ground
  • Depart at scheduled time (this is flexible and can be arranged at time of booking) and walk north Wattamolla (4-5 hours) or to Garie (1hour)
  • Shuttle bus will meet you for transfer back to Bundeena and civilization!

What to wear:

Hat with full coverage
Long sleeve light-weight shirt
Light-weight shorts or long pants (not jeans)
Fleece top or warm woollen layer
Spray jacket in case of rain
Super comfortable walking boots and socks
Note: so as to cut down on your pack weight/space it’s best to limit clothing that you pack. We suggest 1 spare shirt that you can wear both to bed and on the second day of walking

What to Bring:

Food - 2 x lunch, 1 x dinner, 1 x breakfast, snacks (per person)
A watch (or phone)
3 litres of Water per person
Sleeping bag (or we can provide for $20 extra pp)
Camera/phone - and a solar charge/battery bank.
Swimming cozzies
Food (1 x dinner, 1 x breakfast, 1 x lunch, 1 x morning tea, 1 x afternoon tea)
Camera/Phone (solar charger if you have one)


All of your hiking, camping and cooking gear and a sleeping mat (for hygiene reasons please bring your own sleeping bag) - all light weight trekking rated, shuttle transfers, camping permit.


All participants must have an adventurous spirit and be in fit condition.
